A sweet smell to the lord. I can imagine the smoke of the whole burnt offering forming its cloud 🌥 and being swallowed up and merged with the pillar of cloud 🌥.
God was in the cloud 🌥, smelling the sweet savour of the burnt offering. That was God who is spirit’s way of smelling and partaking and accepting the offerings of his people.
As he smelt it he knew who it belonged to and atonement was made for the person.
and he shall cleave it with the wings thereof, but shall not divide it asunder: and the priest shall burn it upon the altar, upon the wood that is upon the fire: it is a burnt sacrifice, an offering made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the LORD.
