Exodus 17

And the people thirsted there for water; and the people murmured against Moses, and said, Wherefore is this that thou hast brought us up out of Egypt, to kill us and our children and our cattle with thirst?
Exodus 17:3 KJV Commentary https://bible.com/bible/1/exo.17.3.KJV

Why did God cause them to hunger and thirst

https://bible.com/bible/1/exo.17.3.KJV

Moses had a real and loving relationship with the lord.

It was like a man relating to his father.

And Moses cried unto the LORD, saying, What shall I do unto this people? they be almost ready to stone me.
Exodus 17:4 KJV Commentary https://bible.com/bible/1/exo.17.4.KJV

Also I wonder if god answered Moses this often why did he not get answers before things got out of hand 🖐️.

This is my strong belief, Moses often foresaw the need of thr people as any leader would.

But God delayed until the people be almost ready to do the unthinkable;
Stone Moses or go back to Egypt.

This begs the question again? Why?

https://bible.com/bible/1/exo.17.4.KJV

Then came Amalek, and fought with Israel in Rephidim.
Exodus 17:8 KJV Commentary https://bible.com/bible/1/exo.17.8.KJV

There is a scripture which talks of amalek harming the weaker ones at the Rear of the camp.

If this is the same incident then now Joshua prepared for a proper war https://bible.com/bible/1/exo.17.8.KJV

But Moses’ hands were heavy; and they took a stone, and put it under him, and he sat thereon; and Aaron and Hur stayed up his hands, the one on the one side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun.
Exodus 17:12 KJV Commentary https://bible.com/bible/1/exo.17.12.KJV

That is a very long time to have your hand 🖐️ up.

So it’s not weather you gave your best or not… It’s if you paid the price required.

They ie Aaron and hur had to find a way of meeting the requirements to ensure victory

So our responsibility is to find out what the requirements is and to meet the demands there of✌️ https://bible.com/bible/1/exo.17.12.KJV

And the LORD said unto Moses, Write this for a memorial in a book, and rehearse it in the ears of Joshua: for I will utterly put out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven.
Exodus 17:14 KJV Commentary https://bible.com/bible/1/exo.17.14.KJV

Joshua was already being groomed https://bible.com/bible/1/exo.17.14.KJV
