And this is thine; the heave offering of their gift, with all the wave offerings of the children of Israel: I have given them unto thee, and to thy sons and to thy daughters with thee, by a statute for ever: every one that is clean in thy house shall eat of it.
Numbers 18:11 KJV COMMENTARY https://bible.com/bible/1/num.18.11.KJV
A statute of the most holy things.
So the statutes are in reference to the ceremonies and rites of the lord. I need to study more to be conclusive on this thought 💭 https://bible.com/bible/1/num.18.11.KJV
And whatsoever is first ripe in the land, which they shall bring unto the LORD, shall be thine; every one that is clean in thine house shall eat of it.

wow the priesthood was indeed a very noble and privileged position to find yourself in,
not only were they close to God and not only did they have the privilege of drawing close to God or being closer than any of the other children of Israel but they had the privilege of enjoying the best of the Land, the privilege of enjoying the very first of the fruits of labor of the children of Israel and aside fruits when it even comes to the sacrifices offered to the Lord, be it of sheep or herd etc, it had to be without blemish.
they were the the best and the finest, indeed the priesthood, the levites were very privileged.
It was this privileged position that Moses made them understand when they rose up in rebellion against Moses,
That the Lord has drawn them so closely to himself and that was not to be taken for granted. https://bible.com/bible/1/num.18.13.KJV
Thus speak unto the Levites, and say unto them, When ye take of the children of Israel the tithes which I have given you from them for your inheritance, then ye shall offer up an heave offering of it for the LORD, even a tenth part of the tithe.

Does that mean the levites did not have any or should I say they did not do any form of Farming or any work in the fields themselves because they were partaking of what the children of Israel or the rest of the children of Israel offered them?
Come to think of it I don’t think the Levi’s were prevented from doing any work or owning any business by themselves at all, I think rather for their labor or their service and for the offering up of their time in serving in the sanctuary they had to be paid in a sense for the use of their time, for the use of their strengths 💪.
Because obviously they could have used that time and that strength to be doing something else which would have brought them some profit so to make up for that that time and that service they received of the tithes and partook in the sacrifices.
So in essence I believe they also had their own businesses in their own farms and other things that they owned because I don’t see it clearly stated that they couldn’t own anything or any property.
the only thing clearly stated with regards to inheritance was that they didn’t have any portion in the land and their portion was what was given to them by the children of Israel 🇮🇱 but they themselves as a tribe did not have their own property. https://bible.com/bible/1/num.18.26.KJV
