but unto Hannah he gave a worthy portion; for he loved Hannah: but the LORD had shut up her womb.
1 Samuel 1:5 KJV COMMENTARY https://bible.com/bible/1/1sa.1.5.KJV
As stated earlier in my commentary in Ruth, the people of Isreal never blamed the devil 👿 or witches 🧙♀️ for anything.
But everything was attributable to God whether good or evil 😈.
Evil because the lord did not cause the evil but permitted it to happen though he could have intruded to stop the evil from happening.
The devil was given no privileges or place in the happening of the children of the prince 🤴 of Power with God Israel.
So low is the devil in the scheme of goss greatness that he did not earn mention in the old testament and in Gods dealings with his people.
Even in the new testament were he is mentioned often, it was because he was being dealt with by the power of God and we were being let in on the happenings in the realm of spirits. https://bible.com/bible/1/1sa.1.5.KJV
So Hannah rose up after they had eaten in Shiloh, and after they had drunk. Now Eli the priest sat upon a seat by a post of the temple of the LORD.
1 Samuel 1:9 KJV COMMENTARY https://bible.com/bible/1/1sa.1.9.KJV
What was the temple doing here. We are not told anything about a temple being built to the lord or to house the tabernacle of the lord so far in the history of Israel.
Could it mean they built a structure to protect the tabernacle proper.?
Dakes acknowledges that it may be a more permanent structure built for the tabernacle and adds an extra layer of explanation that it may also be a living quarters for the priests to help in their daily duties.
And backs it up with the scripture where God says he has not lived in any dwelling place or temple all this while – 3nd Samuel 6:7,
so it’s likely this temple was for the priests but then,
When we study the call of Samuel… “and ere the lamp of God went out in the temple of the LORD, where the ark of God was, and Samuel was laid down to sleep;” 1st Samuel 3:3
This shows Samuel slept in the temple where the ark also was. https://bible.com/bible/1/1sa.1.9.KJV
Count not thine handmaid for a daughter of Belial: for out of the abundance of my complaint and grief have I spoken hitherto.

And when she had weaned him, she took him up with her, with three bullocks, and one ephah of flour, and a bottle of wine, and brought him unto the house of the LORD in Shiloh: and the child was young.
