Chapter 5

‭‭Genesis‬ ‭5:6‬ ‭KJV‬‬ [6] And Seth lived an hundred and five years, and begat Enos: https://bible.com/bible/1/gen.5.6.KJV

Here again we see the geneology given to the youngest not the oldest. Land was so free at this very early stages‭

Genesis‬ ‭5:6‬ ‭KJV‬ [6] And Seth lived an hundred and five years, and begat Enos: https://bible.com/bible/1/gen.5.6.KJV

‭‭Genesis‬ ‭5:13‬ ‭KJV‬‬ [13] and Cainan lived after he begat Mahalaleel eight hundred and forty years, and begat sons and daughters: https://bible.com/bible/1/gen.5.13.KJV

Can we say based on the example of the genealogy counting from Seth instead of Cain that, the names given here are not necessarily first born but rather those through whom the messiah was traced???
