Genesis 16:2 KJV [2] And Sarai said unto Abram, Behold now, the LORD hath restrained me from bearing: I pray thee, go in unto my maid; it may be that I may obtain children by her. And Abram hearkened to the voice of Sarai. https://bible.com/bible/1/gen.16.2.KJV
The Lord had spoken to Abram and said his seed, so well Sarah’s logic kind of holds true. Interestingly though this was a wrong move, and God did not interphere. He could have saved Abraham all that headache subsequently.
Genesis 16:3 KJV [3] And Sarai Abram’s wife took Hagar her maid the Egyptian, after Abram had dwelt ten years in the land of Canaan, and gave her to her husband Abram to be his wife.https://bible.com/bible/1/gen.16.3.KJV
In choosing a surrogate for her husband, she obviously chose the loyal and humble one. However as life sometimes turns out to be, she failed her and turned proud. Wisdom for us.
Genesis 16:4 KJV [4] And he went in unto Hagar, and she conceived: and when she saw that she had conceived, her mistress was despised in her eyes. https://bible.com/bible/1/gen.16.4.KJV
☺ 😇… Women women, human beings… We are just interesting.
Genesis 16:4 KJV [4] And he went in unto Hagar, and she conceived: and when she saw that she had conceived, her mistress was despised in her eyes. https://bible.com/bible/1/gen.16.4.KJV
Didn’t Hagar despise Sarah because she felt used? That she has to go through the pains 🥖 of pregnancy 🤰 only for Sarah to lay claim over the child 🧒.She suddenly became aware that her son was heir to one of the greatest If not the greatest man 👨 in the land.
She would be a fool to just let her baby be given to this old 🧓 barren woman. Well just thinking aloud for Hagar
