And it shall come to pass, when many evils and troubles are befallen them, that this song shall testify against them as a witness; for it shall not be forgotten out of the mouths of their seed: for I know their imagination which they go about, even now, before I have brought them into the land which I sware.

NOTE 2
How were Moses and God able to live with this thought 💭.
That despite all they had done, these peoples heart imagined and desired different things.
Things contrary to God and to themselves. Imaginations that would destroy them and not produce the Glorious life God and Moses hoped for them.
It’s sad 😔, no wonder Moses said that a prophet like unto him ; great in intercession, compassion and a great high priest- will arise and him will the people hear.
Deuteronomy 18:15 ESV
“The LORD your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among you, from your brothers-it is to him you shall listen-
And in another place he says

Deuteronomy 31:30 KJV COMMENTARY MEANING https://bible.com/bible/1/deu.31.30.KJV
All these repetition of instructions and songs and commands.
Goings as far as teaching prophetic songs of rebellion and asking for sacred meetings to read the law,
Tieing symbols on the forehead and bracelets and Hemings on clothes all to bring to remembrance the words of the law in order not to forget them.
Despite these elaborate attempts Israel 🇮🇱 failed to obey many times,
But these reminders worked in that anytime the fell into rebellion they never forgot the God who brought them out of Egypt.
So in that sense it worked in bringing them back from rebellion but it failed in that in did not prevent the rebellion in the first place.
Rebllelion which led to impossibly difficult circumstances https://bible.com/bible/1/deu.31.30.KJV
